There’s a majesty to the ocean, and it is captured in full at Kingston Plantation. Within a seven-minute walk of Myrtle Beach Villa is one-half mile of soft, warm sand washed at its edge by the clear blue Atlantic Ocean. Our beach is part of the famous South Carolina Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of sandy waterfront that attracts millions of visitors each year.
For those who get up early, days can begin with a breathtaking sunrise. Runners and walkers usually fill the morning hours, trekking the glorious beach, enjoying the breeze, the sounds, the sandpipers, and the sea shells.
At mid morning, guests begin to populate the beach as swimmers bring boogie boards and water toys to splash in the ocean’s mighty waves. Sun bathers populate the stretch, and fishermen and women try their luck from Apache Pier, where almost anyone can catch something. Many people bring lunch or snacks. Others enjoy oceanside eateries, some with live music.
Waterfront bands keep evenings lively, but later at night, under the moonlight, when it’s just the breeze and the waves, people walk the smooth beach, enjoying the experience.
